Love love love Spain. The aquarium was awesome. All aquariums are basically the same but this one definitely had the biggest fish I have ever seen! They had giant lobster and crab and it probably shouldn't have but it made me want to go to red lobster.... But only if they would serve me that whole crab! I need some seafood in my life. My host mom made me some awesome paella though with giant jumbo shrimp and it was tasty I could eat that all day every day. While in Gijón I finally saw the beach! I wish we could have stayed longer but I will be spending my whole free weekend next week laying on the beach like good times in Georgia. Oh boy I can't wait.
Today is Friday! Woohoo! Survived week two. I'm really excited for the excursion tomorrow. We're supposed to go hiking in the morning and to the beach in the afternoon. Sounds like a perfect day to me. I'll take lots of photos!
I've decided a few things that I think my host mother thinks about me:
1. I wake up FAR too early. It's like a sin ha. I woke up for church on Sunday at ten and she came into the kitchen rambling about how she never gets up on the weekend before 2! In combination with siesta how does anything ever get done?! I feel guilty sleeping in past 10! Every morning without fail either my mom or dad comments about me being up early. But I have to leave for school at 8:30 so of course I'm up early!
2. Good news... Finally can close the blinds! I came home from school the other day and my blinds were half way down. I don't know if its coincidence or she somehow noticed that they were never closed... But either way as long as I don't put them up all the way I can put them down yay! Finally my room is dark and finally I can take a real siesta today! Glorious :)
3. I must not like her food. If I don't eat a hugggggge plate of food she totally thinks I don't like it! I feel bad but I can only eat so much! Also, she must think I love apples more than anything because thats all I ask for every day ha it's great.
4. I'm nuts for not staying up all night every night. Apparently that's what not only college students do here but old people as well. I'm more of an early to bed early to rise kind of girl.
5. Both my mama and papa think I'm a crack head for not drinking. They offer me wine and Sangre every night and I always say no and they all give me bug eyes like saying "seriously?!" it's fantastic.
